ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. -- A Scottsville, Kentucky man is charged with promoting human trafficking.
The Allen County Sheriff's Office responded to a complaint on April 30 that a man sent a female under 18-years-old inappropriate, explicit messages. According to the sheriff's office, the messages entailed his attempt to solicit her to "procure a minor for forced sexual activity."
Deputies arrested 40-year-old Michael Weaver on the evening of May 2. He is jailed in the Allen County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
A court date has not been scheduled as of this time.
