Traci Lagasse a partner at Andrews × Lagasse × Branch & Bell LLP will speak at the CLM Annual Conference which will be held at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek April 6-8. Her session is titled “Claims Management - Navigating the Waters of Large SIRs and Deductibles.”
Ms. Lagasse is a founding partner of Andrews × Lagasse × Branch & Bell LLP and specializes in the areas of professional liability toxic tort and general litigation. Her professional liability practice focuses on the defense of architects and engineers in construction defect and delay claims as well as the defense of a variety of other professionals including accountants pharmacists real estate professionals health care providers and insurance agents. Her toxic tort experience includes defending a variety of companies in lawsuits involving alleged exposure to toxic substances including benzene formaldehyde various pesticides asbestos and mold. Ms. Lagasse’s practice also involves the defense of all types of personal injury claims from premises liability claims to catastrophic injuries arising from construction site accidents heavy-machinery operations electrical contact and serious automobile collisions.
Ms. Lagasse has published articles in national publications such as Defense Research Institute and Harris Martin’s Mold Columns on issues pertinent to mold litigation including Establishing Medical Causation – An Uphill Battle for Plaintiffs; 30 States and Counting: Mold Legislation Continues to Sweep the Nation; and Mold Legislation: Easier Said Than Done. Ms. Lagasse regularly presents seminars to clients and professional organizations on a variety of subjects including claims handling practices for design professionals express indemnity and defense issues and ethical considerations within the tripartite relationship.
From 2009 through 2016 Ms. Lagasse has been voted by her peers to be included on the list of Southern California Super Lawyers in the area of Professional Liability an award that recognizes the top 5% of California attorneys. In 2012 through 2015 she was selected as one of the Top 25 Women Lawyers in San Diego and in 2013 and 2014 as one of the Top 50 Lawyers in San Diego. In 2010 Ms. Lagasse along with her partners Jennifer Branch and Margi Bell was honored by the San Diego Business Journal as one of San Diego’s Women Who Mean Business an award presented annually to women leaders in San Diego’s business community.
